Automobile Energy sources of the Future
UNH Biodiesel Group
Ignoring for the moment that this paper was written by a group promoting biodiesel, the arguments it presents are still rather convincing. Diesel is 40% more efficient that gasoline, and biodiesel will work in existing diesel engines, and all the existing gasoline/diesel infrastructure could be used for biodiesel. And we can produce enough in the US to completely supply ourselves. And it's cheaper to produce than oil is to purchase. And it's WAY WAY more efficient than hydrogen.
